Signs of Steadfast Love

by Mary Beth on February 15, 2013

The sights and sounds of early Spring are a welcome,

especially in the north each and every year.

Early morning frost meets the shining rays of sunrise,

announcing the gift of a resurrected day.

Song birds join with melancholy praise,

to proclaim their joy in the theater of His glorious creation.

Truly eternal love seems to be in the air,

as new growth begins to appear around us.

In our garden, perennial plants peek out as old friends.

Each day Lord,

your providential hand reveals, renews,

wakes and moves with beauty and voice,

if we’ll only observe and listen.

So renew, wake and move our hearts, I pray.

May your watching smile be upon those who fear you.

Often in the day, lest I wander,

Help me to see, further to perceive and live

in the wonder of your steadfast love.

Never do I tire of a new day celebrating

God’s gracious hand of mercies,

so desperately needed and given to us.

“Show the wonder of your steadfast love,

you who save by your right hand…”

~Psalms 17:7a

Judy,
Thank you sweet friend for visiting mightyrighthand.com and for your kind words that encourage and inspire me further for His glory. God is faithful to comfort and encourage especially as His words will not return void! Holding out the writing that was so personal and private from my journal is risky, yet if God can take a small light to ignite a flame for His glory, so be it!
Blessings always,
Mary
