Able To Wait

by Mary Beth on January 23, 2018

  Faithful, purified remnant

 Able to wait attentively, expectant.

 Receiving a promise is movement

From something, to something more.

Learning to nurture the moment; active

in the present.

Not entangled in fears or wishes of

control, but open-ended.

Trust deeply, waiting heart, listen and rest

Our culture and society tends to move fast, efficient, and outward. Yet, as God’s children, He calls us to wait on the Spirit and stand confident in His Word, His promises that are life. His love, timing and embrace cover more activity within and without, than business we see so much of in our generation.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong
and take heart and wait for the Lord.”  ~Psalms 27:1
